Chain of 20 to 30 mts length for measuring , Pegs for markings , Ranging rods for initial and final points and Cross Staff for plotting of objects......... It is Executed as follows suppose that u are measuring a length of 100 mts with a chain of 30 mts length by taking a inital point say A and marked with the ranging rod and the other end is marked with the peg as B. Now B as a point keep the cross staff over it and measure the perpendicular distance to the near objects so that there will be an idea such that we have taken or calculated this area even after removing our markings.... and continued for 100 mts ..... and we will measure the length with chain 3 times and upto the tally of 10 mts
